SimpleMap 1.1.2

I just posted version 1.1.2 to the WordPress plugin repository, so you should see it become available in the next 10-15 minutes. This fixes the Javascript error that was breaking the plugin in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

It was a bummer of a day. I’m really sorry that I released 1.1 with these huge bugs in it, and I paid for it by getting some pretty negative ratings on the WordPress plugin site. For those of you still using SimpleMap, thank you so much for sticking with me. I really do want to deliver the best tool I can—especially one that isn’t broken. I greatly appreciate all of the support and patience I’ve gotten from you guys.

As always, if you find any errors or bugs with SimpleMap, please email me or post a comment on the SimpleMap page. I can only fix bugs if I know they’re there!

    Hello Alison…

    I just installed 1.1.2.

When I type in an address the zip code is replaced by the word… Null
    That throws off the search.

    Thanks,
    Stan

      Hello Alison..

I should have mentioned to you that when I type in an address and and hit “get directions” the address that comes up has the zip code missing. The zip is replaced by the word… Null and that throws off the search.

      Thanks,
      Stan

      Hi Stan,

Thanks for mentioning the bug, and for the detailed info on it—I was able to find it pretty quick. I just posted 1.1.3 (it will take up to 15 minutes to update in the WordPress repository), and included a fix for that bug.

    Hey Alison…
Your latest 1.1.3 fixed the Null issue.
    You’re great!

    Stan

  3. Alison – it’s all good! Your plugin is the first to produce such advanced results with such an easy learning curve so I imagine there is a ton of behind the scenes coding most of us wouldn’t even begin to know how to do. Plus, you do it for free, so no one really has the right to give you negativity.

    Hi Alison,

I love your plugin, thank you! I’m having trouble importing a csv file and was hoping you could help me. I exported the database, opened it in excel and filled out 25 listings, saved it and attempted to upload it. All I get is “0 records imported successfully.”
    Any ideas?

    Thank You!

      Hi Bart,

Could you send me the file you’re trying to import? That will help me troubleshoot it. Also, if possible, can you send me a screenshot of the simple_map table in your database (from phpMyAdmin or similar)?

      Thanks!

Okay I just emailed you everything Alison. It’s coming from my other work email (bthomas@hohnerusa.com) and it’s entitled “RE: Trouble Uploading CSV to Simple Map”.

    Thank You!!!!
