i love typematrix for dumping legacy conventions, and have the keys nicely lined up! :)

one thing i do not like is the backspace and the enter in the middle. just because my muscle memory keeps fooling me if i need to swich to retarded oldskool keyboards. i keep shifting one key to the left or right.

other thing is that the keys are quite big. if all the keys would be the size of the function keys on top, it would make a nice compact keyboard, and i would get less RSI injuries from moving the fingertips :P

There is a problem with the cut, copy and paste dedicated buttons in TypeMatrix on Mac.

I use KeyRemap4MacBook program and I made some tweaks to it, so you can use the Cut, Copy, Paste while using Dvorak directly in Mac OS X, without using TypeMatrix hardware switch (better choice when you are the only user on the computer).

The trick is to import a new private.xml on KeyRemap4MacBook pro.

Find the instructions at
http://alantheeconomist.blogspot.com/2011/01/using-cut-copy-paste-on-mac-os-x-on.html

Or email me and I will send you the file (my email address is mentioned by following the link above).

Cheers,

Alan

Hi,

I'm a french guy, sorry for my english.

« There are no little retractable “feet” to make it sit at an angle. I’ll need to get a wrist pad in order to really use it comfortably. »

In fact, "little retractable feet" are not good for your fingers. Look at your wrists when you have feet : they are …twisted !
It's better to have a flat keyboard.

My keyboard is at home since this afternoon, I will test it and publish a post on my blog later ;)
